We are now open!

I would like to start by saying I hope you have stayed fit and healthy since we last saw you. We have got to say, the team and I have really missed seeing everyone! We're really looking forward to seeing you all very soon. I know it has been a trying time for all concerned and it has been hard not being able to treat you, but health comes before wealth!

I am proud to be among fellow professional who have adhered to the Government directives. We are now open, and still following these directives, including following the advise that stipulates we are not able to offer facial treatments until August 1st 2020.

We write this blog to give you an insight into how the salon will look and feel, and how your appointments will work, so as not to overwhelm anyone on their return. Please see below video, which guides you through these changes.

It's no secret we will be stepping into a 'new normal' for some time to come, and we'd like to reassure you that we continue to work hard to protect the safety of our clients and colleagues and to combat the spread of the virus.

Please read the below safely, it is important that you do so.

What we are doing for you:

  • A full risk assessment has been completed to Covid-19 level.

  • We have undertaken several Covid-19 awareness courses so we can understand this virus.

  • A 30 minute gap will be scheduled between each appointment to allow for cleaning and sanitising of equipment and surface areas. Our colleagues will also use this time to clean their hands and replace any used PPE. This means we will be appointment only.

  • We are currently restricting waiting room access to two clients at a time. The front door will be locked between appointments to avoid contamination in the absence of the receptionist.

  • Each touch point in the communal area will be cleaned every 15 minutes.

  • Guidance given by the British Beauty Council and the Government shall be adhered to until any changes occur. This may unfortunately mean that some treatments will be unavailable, we will let you know when we can restart. To check, please call us.

  • Due to the amount of time and change in circumstances, patch tests for eyelash and eye brow tints along with lash lift and tint treatments. If you fall into this category, we will contact you to arrange this.

  • The toilet will be available, please sanitise before entry and use paper towels to use after washing your hands.

  • We are currently unable to offer hot drinks and magazines.

  • As you can imagine, we are working longer hours to accommodate you all. Treatments are very precious right now. If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please give us 48 hours notice.

How you can help me:

  • Please wear a face mask throughout your appointment with me. We are providing masks as in the video. You will be asked to wash your hands upon entry.

  • Please arrive to your appointment on your own. Due to increased cleaning and having a small working space we will not be able to accommodate children, friends or family members at this time.

  • Please don't be late - Doing so will affect my delicate daily structure and we need to run on time. Please feel free to wait in your car and we can call you in when ready!

  • Please leave n0n-essential items at home and only bring in the bare minimum. You will be asked to put these in a box once you enter and you will get them back when you leave.

  • A small health questionnaire will be given to you when you arrive, on each visit. You will need to sign a visitor attendance too just in case the worst was to happen so please also bring a pen.

  • Lastly, we appreciate your patience. Like many others, we are battling one of the hardest challenges in our careers. We are having to adapt to these changes with our customers. We are trying to do all we can purely to keep everybody safe! :)

We haven't increased our prices as planned before Covid-19, this is now paused until January 2021. Like many businesses, we are experiences higher costs as a result of the virus. A small donation upon entry is greatly appreciated but not mandatory.

I hope this has given you some reassurance and will put you at ease when you come to visit. We appreciate this isn't your usual experience with us, but if we work together we can keep each other safe while looking and feeling great!
